Colorado seeks comment on air emissions revisions to plan templates for oil & gas operations.

July 1, 2016

The Oil and Gas Unit of the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division (APCD) is currently revising the template forms and the review process associated with submittals of operating and maintenance (O&M) plans for air emissionsCDPHE permits for oil and gas sources in Colorado according to a June 30, 2016 Trinity Consultants report.

The Division is asking operators to comment on the revisions for the following templates and guidance

  • Natural gas fueled reciprocating internal combustion engines;
  • Condensate storage tanks;
  • Produced water storage tanks;
  • Crude oil storage tanks;
  • Gas/liquid separators; and
  • O&M Plan guidance document.

The Colorado Oil and Gas Association (COGA) has agreed to work with the Division to facilitate the commenting/review process. Contact COGA to receive their Comment Response Form and to obtain more information regarding the templates .

COGA is requesting comments by July 7, 2016 so they may compile, review and submit comments to the Division by July 13, 2016.
